Description

The Adezz Bandu is a planter made from bamboo that will give a sharp, contemporary look to your garden space. Bamboo is a strong, sustainable material that doesn’t shrink, swell or crack like some hardwoods do meaning that the Adezz Bandu planter will be a long lived feature for your garden. To help the bamboo retain its dark brown colour, treat with a protector once a year. If left untreated, the bamboo will develop a natural grey colour.  The unique pattern of boards that alternate in width gives this planter character, and a recessed base provides a pleasing shadow gap that gives this planter a floating effect.

Bamboo grows much faster than hardwoods they make an excellent sustainable alternative. Tropical hardwood forests take 60 to 120 years to regenerate after being felled, while bamboo takes only 4 to 6 years. The plant regrows famously quickly and has been used in construction for hundreds of years due to its high compressive and tensile strength.

ADEZZ Bandu specifications:

  • 5-year guarantee.
  • Bamboo is a natural, sustainable, strong material with a long lifespan.
  • The standard thickness of the bamboo is 20 mm, and the rim panel is 40 mm thick.
  • The base is 90 mm high and recessed by 58 mm.
  • Unlike other woods, bamboo shrinks and swells very little.
  • If left untreated, bamboo will turn grey naturally as it ages. This colour change is caused by UV radiation.

Key points of interest:

  • Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. If the product is left in its packaging, it may develop patches of uneven discolouration.
  • Note: To preserve the dark brown colour of the bamboo, treat the planter with a protector immediately after placement.

Planting advice:

  • Cover the bottom of the planter with about 10 cm of hydro pellets.
  • Place a permeable anti-root membrane over the drainage material.
  • Cover the membrane with soil suitable for your chosen plants
